Update: "UNVEILED: Joyce Tenneson and The Heroine’s Journey" wins award at LA premiere

UNVEILED documents one of America’s most iconic photographers as she pursues her artistic vision over 40 years.

City of Angels Women’s Film Festival is a four-day live event that celebrates diverse women’s stories both in film and script format. It screens features, short films, and documentaries that women have played a substantial role in creating.

We were honored to have our film, "UNVEILED: Joyce Tenneson and The Heroine’s Journey" selected and screened at the festival.

UNVEILED documents one of America’s most iconic photographers as she pursues her artistic vision over 40 years. She struggles to navigate diverging roles as a good mother and acclaimed artist. UNVEILED is a refreshingly honest take on the sacrifices that women have made to preserve their career and family life.

This film was always going to be about more than just Joyce Tenneson's artistic style or legacy as a photographer. Her true legacy may be giving artistic voice to the changing roles of women in society and championing their beauty and wisdom in all stages of life. UNVEILED not only takes us on her personal Heroine’s Journey but reveals how her art has inspired – perhaps demanded – society to re-visualize every woman’s journey.

The film was received by a passionate group of women, many of whom share some of Joyce's experiences. For being a pioneering photographer and trailblazer for generations of female artists and entrepreneurs to come, the City of Angels Women's Film Festival awarded Joyce with their annual Female Empowerment Award.

We extend our gratitude to the City of Angels Women's Film Festival for having us and hope to return. Make sure to check back in to see where UNVEILED goes next!

The film is directed by Rebecca Dreyfus, David Wright, and Randy Gebhardt. Check out the trailer for the film below.
